How the quote works

  1. 1
    Submit the form

Tell us the treatment you are considering, your Australian city and the best way to contact you.

  2. 2
    Send six phone photos

The coordinator replies by WhatsApp or email with the exact photo angles. An OPG helps implant and full-arch cases.

  3. 3
    Receive your AUD plan

Your estimate lists treatment lines, likely materials, trip length and questions for the treating dentist.

What your written plan should include

  • Itemised pricing

Each treatment line in AUD, with scans, temporaries or grafting separated where relevant.

  • Material and implant brand

Emax, zirconia, Osstem, Nobel Biocare, Straumann or other named systems where they apply.

  • Clinical checks

Whether OPG, CBCT, gum treatment, extraction or grafting could change the plan after examination.

  • Aftercare pathway

Records, warranty terms and what your Australian dentist may need after you return home.

Planning examples

Major cases can justify the trip. Small cases often cannot.

These are indicative planning examples, not promises. Final treatment is confirmed after examination.

After the quote

The next step is a conversation, not a flight booking.

  1. Review the estimate. Check tooth count, material, scans, trip length and anything that may change after examination.
  2. Ask clinical questions. For complex cases, Picasso can arrange a video call with the treating dentist or coordinator.
  3. Plan travel only after the plan makes sense. Keep buffer time for scans, temporaries, surgery review and recovery.
  4. Return home with records. Keep brand documentation, warranty notes and a treatment summary for your Australian dentist.

Frequently asked questions

What phone photos do I need?

Six photos: front smile, right bite, left bite, upper arch, lower arch, and a retracted front view. Good indoor light is enough — no professional photography needed.

What is an OPG and do I need one?

An OPG is a panoramic dental X-ray. It is optional but significantly speeds implant, All-on-4, and crown assessments. Ask your Australian dentist or a local imaging centre for a digital copy.

Is the quote binding?

It is a provisional clinical estimate. Final treatment lines and pricing are confirmed after an in-person examination at the clinic. No commitment is required to receive the written plan.

Will you quote in AUD?

Yes. All quotes for Australian patients are provided in AUD. There are no currency conversion surprises or price changes on arrival.

How long does a quote take?

We aim to reply within 24 hours. Vietnam is 3 hours behind AEST (UTC+10). Our team will also offer a free video consultation with the treating dentist for complex cases.

What treatments can I get a quote for?

Veneers, dental implants, All-on-4 and All-on-6 full-arch restorations, Invisalign, crowns, whitening, and general check-ups. If you are unsure, describe your goals and we will advise on the most appropriate treatment pathway.

How do I send my photos?

Use the form above. After submitting, send photos directly to our WhatsApp at +84 989 067 888 for fastest processing. Alternatively, email them to [email protected].

How much cheaper are dental implants in Vietnam compared to Australia?

A single Nobel Biocare or Straumann implant at Picasso costs approximately AUD 2,260 (fixture, abutment, and crown combined). The same implant system at an Australian private practice often costs AUD 5,000–8,000+ — a saving of roughly 55–70 per cent. An All-on-4 full arch using Osstem starts from AUD 7,060, compared with typical Australian ranges of AUD 23,000–38,000+.

What implant brands does Picasso use?

Picasso stocks Straumann SLActive, Nobel Biocare TiUltra, Osstem, ETK, and Neodent. All fixtures come with manufacturer batch documentation and serial numbers. Nobel Biocare and Straumann carry 10-year crown warranties; Osstem carries a 5-year warranty.

How long does a dental trip to Vietnam need to be?

A single-implant placement typically requires 3–5 days. All-on-4 full-arch restorations require a minimum of 5–7 days for placement and temporary arch fitting. Veneers (10 units) generally take 5–7 days using the Portrait Sitting protocol. A trip-length estimate is included in your written quote.

Is it safe to have dental work done in Vietnam?

Picasso Dental Clinic has treated 70,000+ patients from 62+ countries since 2013. The clinic uses the same internationally manufactured implant and crown materials available in Australia. Sterilisation follows ISO standards, and digital imaging — OPG, CBCT 3D, and iTero — is available in-house at all branches.

Does Australian private health insurance cover treatment at Picasso?

Most Australian extras cover policies exclude overseas elective dental treatment. However, Picasso can provide itemised AUD invoices and manufacturer documentation for any claim you wish to lodge — coverage depends on your specific fund and policy. Check with your fund before travelling.

What warranty do veneers and implants come with?

Emax veneers carry a 7-year SmileCare Global warranty. Nobel Biocare and Straumann implant systems carry 10-year crown warranties; Osstem carries a 5-year crown warranty. Warranty documentation is issued at treatment completion. No brand offered by Picasso carries a 'lifetime' warranty claim.

Can patients from outside Sydney or Melbourne get a quote?

Yes — the quote process is fully remote. Patients from Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, and any other Australian city or region can submit photos and receive an AUD plan by email. Direct routes to Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City are available from major Australian airports via Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Asia.

What languages does Picasso speak?

Picasso Dental Clinic operates in English and Vietnamese. All patient coordinators, quote correspondence, and treatment documentation are provided in English.
