Patient results — before and after at Picasso Dental Clinic
Before and after results from Picasso Dental Clinic — veneers, implants, smile makeovers, and All-on-4 cases. Honest outcomes including what goes right and how adjustments are handled.
Most patients achieve the result they planned with Picasso. Veneers are shade-approved using temporaries before final bonding — there are no surprise colours. Implants are placed against a written plan with brand, dimension, and graft requirements confirmed in advance. A small number of patients return for minor adjustments, which the warranty covers.
Australian patients considering dental treatment overseas are right to ask about results. Before-and-after photos are part of the answer — but they are only useful when matched to your treatment type, taken with consistent clinical photography, and supported by honest information about what happens when adjustments are needed.
This page describes what results Picasso achieves across its main treatment types, how outcomes are documented, and how to request case examples relevant to your situation.
Veneer results
Picasso’s Portrait Sitting protocol exists specifically to make veneer results predictable. Before any final ceramic is bonded:
- Temporaries are placed that match the proposed shade and shape.
- You see the result in natural light and review it for 1–2 days.
- Shade adjustments and shape refinements are made to the temporaries before the final restorations are commissioned from the lab.
- Final bonding proceeds only after you approve the shade and shape using the temporaries as reference.
This process means there are no surprise colours at the final bonding appointment. The vast majority of Australian veneer patients leave with the result they approved at the temporary stage. A small number request a minor shade refinement after bonding, which Picasso accommodates under the warranty.
Case photos showing veneers — covering 4, 6, 8, and 10-tooth cases across different starting shades and shapes — are available on request as part of the free quote process.
Implant results
Implant outcomes at Picasso are planned against a written pre-surgery document confirming:
- The implant brand and fixture dimensions
- Whether bone grafting is required and what type
- The loading protocol (immediate or delayed)
- The prosthetic plan (single crown, bridge, or full-arch)
This pre-surgery plan is shared with the patient before any procedure begins. Australian patients receive a copy of this document as part of their clinical record.
Integration rates for Osstem and Straumann implants at Picasso follow the published manufacturer data for those brands. A small number of implants require a second procedure — in most cases a minor adjustment to the crown or abutment rather than implant failure. The warranty covers these situations.
Smile makeover results
Full smile makeovers combining veneers, crowns, whitening, and sometimes gum contouring follow the same portrait-sitting and pre-approval process. The treatment sequence is planned so that whitening (if included) is completed first, the shade target is set, and all ceramic work is matched to that target.
Patients undergoing full-arch cosmetic work receive a trial smile — a composite mockup placed directly on the teeth — before any preparation begins. This lets you preview the final shape and proportions before committing.
All-on-4 results
All-on-4 outcomes cover both the prosthetic result (what the teeth look like) and the functional result (how they bite and feel). Picasso uses Nobel Biocare, Straumann, or Osstem implants for All-on-4 cases depending on the patient’s bone volume and the plan agreed before surgery.
Immediate-loading All-on-4 (teeth placed the same day as implant surgery) is standard for appropriate cases. The provisional teeth are functional from day one. Final prosthetics are placed at the follow-up visit, typically 4–6 months later for full arch cases.
Australian patients receiving All-on-4 results should request a copy of the CBCT scan taken before surgery, the implant placement report, and the final prosthetic records. Picasso provides these as standard.
Requesting before-and-after photos
Photos for your specific treatment type are sent privately as part of the quote process, with patient consent for sharing. Include a note when submitting your photos:
- “Please send veneer case examples — I am considering 8 teeth, currently quite discoloured”
- “Please send implant cases similar to mine — single lower molar, I have an OPG”
- “Please send All-on-4 cases — I am looking at both arches”
The coordinator matches examples to your case characteristics rather than sending a generic gallery. Matched examples are more useful than wall-of-photos marketing material.
Honest expectations
Before-and-after photographs do not show every case. No clinic’s gallery does. The clinical record approach — every Australian patient receives their own full file including pre-treatment photos, X-rays, material details, and post-treatment photos — is Picasso’s answer to this limitation. Your record exists independently of any marketing gallery.
A small number of patients need follow-up adjustments. The warranty document explains what is covered and for how long. Read the warranty page before making a decision based on photos alone.
