Dental savings calculator — Vietnam vs Australia 2026
See how much Australian patients save on dental treatment in Vietnam vs Australian private clinics — worked examples for implants, veneers, and All-on-4 with all trip costs included.
Australian patients typically save AUD 3,000–50,000 on dental treatment at Picasso Dental Clinic in Vietnam compared with Australian private clinics, depending on the treatment. These worked examples show the maths for three common cases — all trip costs included.
How the maths works
Every worked example below uses the same formula:
Net saving = Australian private cost − (Picasso treatment cost + return flights + accommodation)
Picasso prices are from the May 2026 AUD price list. Australian private benchmarks are drawn from current ADA fee survey data and represent mid-market pricing across major Australian cities. Travel costs assume return flights from Sydney — patients flying from Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth will see similar figures.
Case 1 — Single Osstem implant
A single implant to replace one missing tooth: implant fixture, healing abutment, and ceramic crown.
| Cost item | Australian private | Picasso Vietnam |
|---|---|---|
| Implant + crown (Osstem) | AUD 4,500–6,500 | AUD 1,350 |
| CBCT scan | AUD 300–500 | AUD 30 |
| Return flights (Sydney, Jetstar/Vietnam Airlines) | — | AUD 900–1,200 |
| 8 nights HCMC hotel (mid-range) | — | AUD 640–960 |
| All-in total | AUD 4,800–7,000 | AUD 2,920–3,540 |
| Net saving | AUD 1,260–4,080 |
Note on single implants: The saving is meaningful but narrower than for larger treatment plans. The case improves significantly when combining a single implant with other work — 2+ implants, crowns, or veneers. Patients combining treatments on the same trip routinely save AUD 8,000–20,000+ after all costs.
Case 2 — 6 Emax veneers + Zoom whitening
Six upper arch porcelain veneers (Emax Press) and a single-session Zoom in-chair whitening treatment.
| Cost item | Australian private | Picasso Vietnam |
|---|---|---|
| 6 Emax veneers | AUD 9,600–16,200 | AUD 2,340 |
| Zoom whitening (in-chair) | AUD 800–1,200 | AUD 200 |
| Return flights (Sydney) | — | AUD 900–1,200 |
| 10 nights HCMC hotel (mid-range) | — | AUD 800–1,200 |
| All-in total | AUD 10,400–17,400 | AUD 4,240–4,940 |
| Net saving | AUD 5,460–12,460 |
Note on veneers: The shade and shape are approved using temporary restorations before any final ceramic is bonded. You see the result before it is permanent. Zoom whitening is scheduled at the start of the treatment sequence so all ceramic work is matched to the whitened shade.
Case 3 — Dual arch All-on-4 (Osstem)
Full-mouth All-on-4 replacing all upper and lower teeth. Four Osstem implants per arch, immediate-loading provisional teeth on the day of surgery, final prosthetics at follow-up visit.
| Cost item | Australian private | Picasso Vietnam |
|---|---|---|
| All-on-4 upper arch (Osstem) | AUD 22,000–32,000 | AUD 7,800 |
| All-on-4 lower arch (Osstem) | AUD 22,000–32,000 | AUD 7,800 |
| CBCT scans (both arches) | AUD 500–900 | AUD 60 |
| Return flights (Sydney) | — | AUD 900–1,200 |
| 14 nights HCMC hotel (mid-range) | — | AUD 1,120–1,680 |
| All-in total | AUD 44,500–64,900 | AUD 17,680–18,540 |
| Net saving | AUD 26,820–47,220 |
Note on dual-arch All-on-4: Combining both arches on a single trip is the case where dental tourism delivers the largest absolute savings. The second arch adds little extra travel cost while adding AUD 22,000–32,000 to the Australian private price.
